Awareness & Reformation

Bolangir is a very backward district in the state of Odisha, and one of the most poorest regions in India. Due it's geographical location and other disadvantageous factors and the process of development yet to reach. Recurring drought, crop failure makes the people to live in stress, leading to hopelessness and apathetic conditions. Normally they are unable to meet their basic requirement, thereby leading them to migrate to other states / regions in search of some livelihood / employment. The unsuccessful people remain back who are exposed to Human trafficking etc. The farmer's suicides are common in the area. Government is implementing various developmental schemes but due to lack awareness and ignorance, people are not efficiently receiving / availing these facilities.

Keeping this in mind regarding the deteriorating condition, Krishna Kripa Trust is organizing numbers of awareness generation programme on Health and Hygiene, Water and Sanitation, Environment, plantation of fruit bearing trees, efforts in contributing to sustainable agriculture.

Krishna Kripa Trust actively organises public gatherings where successful people, Senior Citizens from different parts of nation come and address in specific topics related to the betterment or improvement in society.

Krishna Kripa Trust also involved in conducting regular reformation programme like meditation, yoga, Bhajan and Sankirtan to have stress free, peaceful and contained life.



Bhagwat geeta payarana

Bhagwat Geeta parayana programme includes chanting of 700 verses of Bhagwat Geeta with a special Sankalpa. it is meant for attaining higher consciousness, peace and human values thereby the blessing of the lord. It is a purification process, pure form of meditation and it help us to realized the subtle element like self, superself, three modes of material nature, time factor and action. In order to counteract negativity from within and experiencing a stress free contained life we organized Geeta Parayana programme for the purpose of improving each and every individual.


Wine Eradication

Bilaisarda This small village with 663 house-holds located 21 kilometers away from the district head quarter of Balangir (Odisha) is perhaps the only village (out of 1600 villages) where liquor ban is being enforced voluntarily by the villagers recently.

Most of the people are farmers, agriculture daily wage labourers. As far alcohol consuming behaviours especially men in the villages associate alcohol with fun & pleasure. This practice makes the people addicted, indebted & destroying the peace & harmony in the village.

Krishna Kripa Trust is working in the village observes that due to alcohol people lost their discrimination, develop fighting spirit, casual about their children educations and got into unnecessary expenses which lead them to poverty. By conducting awareness activities & reformation programme, providing information on the benefits of alcohol free life, many of them quit drinking and committed to fight against liquor, women groups enthusiastically came forward to ban liquor in the village & succeeded. Liquor shops have been banned from the village.

During the few months of being alcohol free village, the residents' quality of life has enormously improved. Peace & harmony has been restored in the village. People are healthier & happier, violence & accident related to alcohol have decreased.


Tree Plantation

KKT is well concerned about the environment degradation due to various man made reasons. Awareness camps have been organized to sensitize the community on ill effects of environmental degradation. Plantation drive was organized and continued in different villages of the intervention area. The school children were made aware due to involvement in the process of awareness generation on environment and plantation.


Swatchha Bharat

Cleanliness drive has been organized as a part of "Swachha Bharat Abhijan" in the target villages of Puintala Block. The community members, school children, women, SHG members etc joined the movement. Awareness meetings were organized for behavior change as a part of the campaign
