Krishna Kripa Trust is a charitable Trust that has been working with the rural, predominantly tribal population in Balangir district of Odisha. It was in the year 2010 Shri. B.K.Panda was campaigning in the regions of "KBK" districts. His observations on the prevailing situation, he got influenced as a social thinker, philosopher & spiritual leader regarding much required developing & shaping the society by introducing the values of education, improving health / hygiene standards and conduct cultural activities. This realization inspired a move within him to change and inspire certain individuals, who believed in the idea of voluntarism and to be a part of this movement.
B.K.Panda (Sri Balamukunda Dasa) is one such individual who being deeply influenced by the beliefs and writings of Srila Prabhupada "namE rucHi : jivE dayA" , conceived of the idea of Krishna Kripa Trust in 2010. In this effort he has contacted various sections of the society, people and intellectuals of the "KBK" region. During his campaign he realized the situation of the community is so adverse that majority people live under stress, disturbed due of health issues, poverty and ignorance. This inspired him to work for the deprived people and for their betterment he has formed this Trust namely "Krishna Kripa Trust" (KKT).
It was registered under Indian Trust Act 1882. Since the beginning, KKT has been contributing towards the development of the community and continue to contribute more through varieties of interventions.
The major thrust area of Krishna Kripa Trust lies with providing better livelihood options to its target groups in the intervention area of the district. In addition, the organization also provides intellectual and technical inputs to the people at large in the following sectors of development to implement the programs effectively and efficiently.
Presently from our Centralised kitchen located at village Bandanakata, we are providing Mid Day Meals to all the Bolangir Municipality schools & puintala block covering 18000 students from 216 schools, covering a distance of 50 kms and our goal is to reach 80,000 students till 2020.
